Job Description
Waymo is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their ML Frameworks & Efficiency team. This role focuses on improving compute efficiency through scalable models and efficient execution, working closely with Research and Production teams. The team develops and deploys models for Perception and Planning for autonomous driving, leveraging techniques like sparse architectures, speculative decoding, and compiler optimizations.
Requirements
- Develop new neural model architectures
- Improve accelerator FLOPS efficiency
- Optimize ML systems for high performance on TPUs and GPUs
- Evaluate and integrate open source technologies
