Job Description
Electricians perform journeyman electrical work in the installation, alteration, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment, troubleshooting and testing electrical systems and apparatus, and performing other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Installs and repairs electrical wiring systems, electrical motors, generators, armatures and other electrical equipment.
- Installs, maintains and repairs traffic signals, running and taxing lighting systems.
- Installs telephone and computer systems, fire and security alarms, electric cell door locks, television and coaxial cables.
- Troubleshoots and tests electrical systems and related apparatus to locate source of malfunction.
- Make alterations to electrical systems and equipment to meet the needs of their division.
