Job Description
Research Assistant Accountant supporting financial administration and financial compliance of research grants across the Institute.
Requirements
- Strong financial acumen with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a complex and fast-paced environment
- Committed to proactive, high-quality service, with a demonstrated ability to deliver responsive and user-friendly client support
- Methodical and compliance-focused approach to financial record keeping
- Stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage effectively with researchers and finance colleagues
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or related discipline, preferably with CA or CPA or working towards completion
- Experience in grants accounting, project accounting or research finance
- Understanding of funding compliance and audit requirements
- Strong Excel skills and experience using financial systems
- Familiarity with grant funding compliance frameworks
