Skilled Electrician that provides installation, maintenance, and repair services on electrical and lighting control systems and provides direction to and/or trains junior co-workers as needed.
Requirements
- Skilled in the performance of all phases of electrical repair and maintenance.
- Troubleshoots and repairs various components of electrical distribution systems including fixtures, ballasts, circuits, panel boards, transfer switches, lighting controls, motors, etc.
- Performs rounds and responds to service calls for occupants throughout campus.
- Provides hi quality installation, maintenance, and repair services of various institutional electrical systems, following accepted procedures and techniques of the electrical trade.
- Installs all elements of new circuits from the distribution board to the load.
- Completes and submits a variety of service requests and preventative maintenance tasks indicating work performed and time and material spent.
- Provides shutdowns of selected utility systems during maintenance and construction activities.
- Develops scope of work for projects and identifies material and labor necessary. Obtains material pricing from vendors.
- Provides direction to other staff assigned to assist in the completion of tasks. Trains co-workers in the proper methods of completing trades work.
