The Dean of the College of Nursing is a leader responsible for the strategic growth of the College of Nursing in the enrollment of the nursing programs, the opportunities for inter-professional practice and education provided to nursing students, and the array of nursing related educational opportunities provided by the college.
Requirements
- Earned doctorate from an accredited institution, ideally a Ph.D. in Nursing from a regionally accredited university
- A distinguished record of academic and professional excellence, meriting the rank of Full Professor
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Extensive knowledge of California's healthcare policies, access issues, and community needs
- Experience with strategic planning and new program development relevant to the healthcare sector
- Successful administrative experience with fiscal and managerial responsibilities, at the level of Dean, Approved CA BRN Director, and CCNE of AACN Chief Nurse Administrator
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California
- Proven experience with diverse instructional modalities appropriate to health professions education
- Accomplish all duties and responsibilities as assigned by the President and Vice President of Academic Affairs
