Faculty, Full-Time, Nursing -ELM

Westcliff University is seeking a Full-Time Nursing Faculty to support the University's mission by facilitating student learning aligned with course and program outcomes. The role provides leadership as an educator, mentor, and role model, fostering an innovative and accountable academic environment.

Requirements

• Teach assigned course load and maintain regular office hours
• Participate in course and program assessment for continuous improvement
• Update course materials and syllabi in alignment with shared governance
• Use diverse teaching methods to support student achievement of learning outcomes
• Demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and student engagement
• Provide timely feedback and academic advising per University protocols
• Maintain teaching effectiveness through student, peer, and administrative evaluations, and student outcomes
• Actively mentor students and integrate scholarly and cross-disciplinary approaches to enhance instruction
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student work; provide timely feedback and submit required reports in accordance with University policies
• Use approved syllabus templates and ensure timely distribution
• Support assessment and compliance efforts, including curriculum improvement and regulatory standards
• Engage in student success activities, offering academic support and mentorship
• Participate in required meetings, professional development, and Practice Learning Community
• Adhere to ethical, legal, and professional standards, maintain confidentiality, and ensure proper use of University resources
• Collaborate with nursing leadership and colleagues to ensure high quality instruction appropriate for course and program learning objectives
• Maintain relationships with clinical sites, ensuring they meet quality standards and are aligned with the organization's needs as assigned
• Collaborate with other Westcliff departments as needed
