WD is seeking a Mechanical Simulation Engineer to join their team, responsible for simulating complex HDD servo-mechanical systems and partnering with design engineers to optimize designs. This role is part of WD's early career development program, ideal for individuals at the early stages of their professional career.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed an MS or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 3.0 GPA
- Demonstrated analysis skills through industrial experience and/or academic projects.
- Proficient using mechanical analysis & design tools (e.g. ANSYS, Hyperworks, Matlab, SolidWorks).
- Fundamental knowledge of dynamics and vibration control, testing & associated data analysis.
- Hands-on laboratory experience using Laser Doppler Vibrometers, Fourier analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.
