Job Description
Join WD's mechanical simulation team as a summer intern in 2026. As an intern, you will work on developing leading-edge mechanical technologies and solutions for the industry's most demanding HDD products.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an MS or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering
- Demonstrated analysis skills through industrial experience and/or academic projects
- Proficient using mechanical analysis & design tools (e.g. ANSYS, Hyperworks, Matlab, SolidWorks)
- Fundamental knowledge of dynamics and vibration control, testing & associated data analysis
- Hands-on laboratory experience using Laser Doppler Vibrometers, Fourier analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.
