Phlebotomist (PRN Weekend Nights)

Maintain a high degree of professionalism and ethics as a Phlebotomist, responsible for obtaining specimens from patients and processing them for testing or transport to reference laboratories.

Requirements

• Obtain laboratory specimens from patients as directed
• Transport specimens safely and without delay to proper laboratory for testing
• Ensure all specimens are clearly and properly labeled and sent to billing correctly
• Maintain laboratory records
• Assist with scheduling tests and treatments
• Collaborate with the patient, physician, and other care team members
• Create, copy, file and maintain patient files, records, and other information
• Compile and condense technical and statistical data for reports and records
• Participate in professional development activities
• Attend regular meetings and/or training
• Maintain strict confidentiality
• Treat staff, physicians, visitors and patients with dignity and respect
