Interconnection Manager

We're looking for an Interconnection Manager on behalf of our client, responsible for overseeing the full life cycle of development and construction of projects, collaborating with internal and external entities, and managing generator interconnections.

Requirements

• Power systems background with an understanding of transmission planning and NERC reliability standards
• Experience with steady-state thermal/voltage, short-circuit, transient stability using industry analytical tools
• Understanding of the planning processes within RTOs/ISOs and Transmission Providers
• Ability to coordinate with multiple internal and external SMEs
• Understanding of transmission policy and regulatory issues related to generator interconnection
• Provide solutions for technical transmission issues for development projects and current assets
• Manage generator interconnection application process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and timelines
• Coordinate with all partners, including ISO/RTOs, developers, and utility companies
• Develop and implement strategies to improve the generator interconnection process
• Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements to inform strategic planning
