Job Description
We're looking for a Solar Field Commissioning Manager on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment. The manager will oversee subcontractors and OEMs' installation, quality, plant testing, performance testing, ISO/GIA/PPA testing, and startup of solar PV power systems.
Requirements
- Utility-scale solar PV installation and startup (PV modules, DC collection, combiner boxes, and inverters)
- Commissioning process creation and Substation testing and startup
- Protection and Controls implementation and troubleshooting
- Understanding of solar PV balance-of-plant components (combiner boxes, DC feeders, inverter stations, step-up transformers, MV collection, plant controller, and SCADA)
- Quality control inspections and punch-list management
- Experience with DC systems (0-2,000Vdc) and AC systems (480V-34.5kV)
- Familiarity with troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLC) and industrial electronic equipment (protection relays, inverters, plant controllers, revenue meters)
- Experience with plant control and SCADA systems (inverter communications, PPC/plant controller, and data historian) and troubleshooting
