Job Description
We're looking for a Solar Field Commissioning Manager for a 1-year contract assignment. This role involves overseeing subcontractors and OEMs' installation, quality control, startup, and commissioning of solar PV power systems. The manager will also be responsible for reporting daily, weekly, and monthly progress to upper management and managing construction turnover, pre-energization, commissioning, and performance testing work performed by contractors and vendors at the project site.
Requirements
- Utility-scale solar PV installation and startup
- Commissioning process creation and Substation testing and startup
- Protection and Controls implementation and troubleshooting
- Understanding of solar PV balance-of-plant components
- Quality control inspections and punch-list management
- Experience with DC systems (0-2,000Vdc) and AC systems (480V-34.5kV)
- Familiarity to troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLC) and industrial electronic equipment (protection relays, inverters, plant controllers, revenue meters)
