Medical Assistant Supervisor

Westside is seeking a Supervisory position for a Medical Assistant Supervisor, responsible for leading and supervising a team of Medical Assistants. The role focuses on ensuring patient care standards are met, maintaining accurate records, assessing patient health, and coordinating with other team members. Westside is dedicated to improving the health of the community through quality healthcare access.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Successful completion of a medical assistant training program
• At least 5 years of experience as a medical assistant
• Current Medical Assistant certification
• Current certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
• At least six months of experience using Microsoft Office and electronic medical record software
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel independently
• Bi-lingual Spanish preferred
• Phlebotomy certified preferred
• Completion of a college-level leadership or management course
• Two years of experience monitoring the performance of at least six employees in an ambulatory outpatient setting
• Completion of an interpreter training course, certification by the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters or certification by the National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters
