LICENSED PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT - PHYSICAL THERAPY (FT)

The LICENSED PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT - PHYSICAL THERAPY (FT) will assist physical therapists in providing patient care services, including assessing patient health, administering therapeutic procedures, and documenting patient care services.

Requirements

• Must possess the ability to perform the following:
• Adhere to the plan of treatment established by the Physical Therapist.
• Motivate patients to participate in therapy treatment.
• Adhere to clinical policies and procedures in the overall delivery of patient care via standards of practice.
• Fully document encounters in the chart utilizing only standard abbreviations and correct grammar.
• Effective intra-agency Communication and with/through supervisor and staff.
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist as needed in providing patient care coverage
• Organize area and schedule to ensure the maximum time is utilized to provide direct patient care and accomplish job responsibilities while simultaneously meeting all regulatory and agency specific time frames for documentation and best practices.
• Follow facility and agency employee and patient safety policies.
• Willingness to work beyond normal working hours when necessary to effectively and efficiently perform duties, demonstrating commitment to organization and community.
