Assistant Professor - Health Sciences (Health Research Methodology)

WILFRID LAURIER UNIVERSITY is hiring an Assistant Professor in Health Sciences to teach and conduct research in health research methodology. The ideal candidate should have expertise in health research methodologies, particularly quantitative health analyses, and a strong commitment to interdisciplinary research, community engagement, and community-based or policy impact. The position involves teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, conducting research, securing funding, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and presenting at conferences.

Requirements

• PhD in Public or Population Health, Epidemiology, Statistics, Community Health, Health Data Science, Health Systems, Health Policy, Health Services Research, or Medical Sciences
• Postdoctoral training is an asset but not a requirement
• Experience in teaching and conducting health research methodologies, particularly quantitative health analyses
• Interdisciplinary educational background to study and enhance understanding of human health, disease processes, and health inequities is an asset
• Ability to integrate biological, clinical, social, and structural data across levels of analysis
• Experience teaching statistical software and data visualization tools
• Commitment to student mentorship and supervision
