Director - Indigenous Health - Workforce Development

The Director - Indigenous Health - Workforce Development position is a designated Indigenous competition that is open to Indigenous applicants. The incumbent will support the commitment of the WRHA in the development of a workforce that is reflective of the Region’s Indigenous population.

Requirements

• 5 years of progressively senior management and leadership experience
• 5 years of experience in human resource management, including recruitment, retention and training
• Experience in Indigenous HR management, recruitment and retention required
• Experience in Indigenous Workforce Development with a focus on program development, implementation and evaluation
• Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively with community based traditional Indigenous cultural programs or initiatives
• Experience with, or knowledge of, enabling health system leaders and teams with applying an Indigenous lens to health operations
• Experience in project management and coaching
• Community development expertise including public engagement & consultation experience
• Experience building effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, particularly with Indigenous governments, organizations and agencies
