Job Description
The Indigenous Support Navigator is responsible for acting as a culturally safe resource for Indigenous patients and their families entering Winnipeg Regional Health facilities for health care. The incumbent will receive enquiries from patients and direct them to appropriate internal and/or external programs or resources.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in a related field
- Related experience in a health care setting
- Healthcare system navigation experience
- Customer service or social services experience
- Knowledge of federal, provincial, municipal and Indigenous resources accessible in community
