Job Description
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) provides specific services in the Surgery Department under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and Surgeon. Collaborates with the surgical team to deliver quality and safe health care. Provides care while meeting physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and educational needs of the patient and family.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Graduate of Certified Medical Assistant Program
- Certified Medical Assistant Certification
- BLS Certification
- Completes required Surgical Technologist training within 1 year of employment
- Achieves certification as a Surgical Technologist by the National Center for Competency Testing within 1 year of employment
