We are seeking a Windows Server Admin with expertise in hardware issues, OS troubleshooting, and Windows server recovery. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in hardware issues and RAID, problem-solving skills, and expertise in OS performance issues.
Requirements
- Hands on experience in Hardware issues and RAID
- Experience in problem solving
- Capability in IBM, HP and Dell Hardware
- Expert knowledge on OS troubleshooting
- Expert experience in OS performance issues
- Strong Knowledge and troubleshooting skills on Windows server (Blue Screen Errors, performance issues, permissions issues)
- Strong troubleshooting skill in Windows server recovery
- Strong understanding and troubleshooting skill of Windows Cluster
- Must have thorough experience in handling the Windows Clusters and troubleshooting of the issues
- Strong understanding and experience on Windows Server patch management tools like WSUS, SCCM
- Strong in planning of patching of large number of Windows servers using tools
- Expert knowledge in DHCP, Scopes and understanding super scopes and troubleshooting of any issues
- Must have hands on experience in File share servers and DFS and troubleshooting
- Strong in migration planning and designing for various Windows technologies like File server, Windows Operating System etc.
- Experience in handling print servers, KMS Servers
- Knowledge on Radius servers
- Worked on Antivirus related issues - Trend, Symantec, Microsoft Forefront and understanding of AV concepts
- Good Exposure to various tools and technologies (VM Ware, Citrix, Virtualization etc)
- Working knowledge of server virtualization (Hyper-V, Vmware) host and Guest OS
- Expertise in automation and reduction of manual efforts through Scripting/tools, Scripting knowledge/ experience in VB Script, PowerShell is must
- An ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Good time management skills with strong documentation skills
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Identify opportunities for efficiencies in work process and innovative approaches to completing scope of work
- Provide on-site support at data centre for infrastructure maintenance activities
- Work with Local & Global Teams
- Perform in 24 x 7 environment in shift roster and attend calls whenever assigned
- Willing to Work on Shifts based on the projects need
- Experience in providing RCAs for Priority tickets
- Microsoft and other technical/ industry certifications desirable
- Proactive and clear communication skills
- Willingness to travel to different locations on short team
- Handling escalated incidents or high critical tickets providing RCA
- Predicting Risk/ Impact and Participating in Major Changes
- Handling 3rd party for underpinning contract SLA's
- To provide technical support to clients, respond promptly to issues reported by clients, conducting root cause analysis and going through various testing scenarios for thorough resolution
