Job Description
The Wisconsin Humane Society is hiring a Veterinary Assistant Intern for a summer internship at our Milwaukee Campus. This unpaid internship provides the opportunity to assist our veterinary staff and gain valuable experience in the veterinary or shelter medicine fields.
Requirements
- Preparing and/or administering animal treatments
- Assisting with surgery preparation and surgical recovery
- Assisting with the movement of patients, recovery of patients, and general flow
- Cleaning of veterinary clinic and exam rooms
- Assisting with foster animal exams and rechecks
