Manager, Strategic Sourcing (Construction)

The Strategic Sourcing Manager – Construction will partner with cross-functional teams to integrate strategic sourcing into the project lifecycle for WM’s construction projects. The role involves overseeing procurement, negotiating contracts, and researching suppliers. The successful candidate will have 8-10 years of relevant experience in construction or EPC firms.

Requirements

• Oversees and participates in the procurement of materials, components, and services
• Guides, assists, and negotiates to satisfactory conclusion important or major purchasing contracts
• Researches and develops competent suppliers of high quality components
• Reviews and evaluates the relations of purchasing personnel with existing suppliers
• Oversees and participates in the general development of testing and evaluation techniques used to evaluate supplier material and supplier and operations quality
• Maintains currency with respect to technical and supervisory skills by attending training classes, special technical and administration courses, seminars, exhibits and trade shows as needed
