Job Description
The tutor provides academic assistance to individual students or small groups, helping them become successful, independent learners. The tutor may specialize in a subject area, but may also be assigned to tutor in multiple subjects. The tutor is responsible for maintaining qualifications and following rules and regulations as described by the Technical College System of Georgia Policy Manual and institution policies.
Requirements
- Tutor students in English Literature, English Composition, and Microsoft Office
- Prepare teaching materials for students
- Discuss student progress with staff
- Maintain a positive attitude and provide encouragement and support to students
- Perform basic administrative duties to support the tutoring program
