Special Population Disability Director

The Director is responsible for the administration, development and implementation of initiatives for special population students. The position involves supervision of employees, management of the operating budget, and maintenance of program requirements. The Director may also teach traditional day and/or evening classes or online classes and may require travel within the college's service area.

Requirements

• Earned Bachelor’s degree from an academic institution accredited by an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education
• Documented five (5) years of experience in management or the defined departmental area
• Demonstrated knowledge of interpreting and applying Federal Regulation 504 and the Americans with Disabilities Act
• Demonstrated knowledge of interpreting results of various assessments and diagnostic tools
• Documented relevant work experience in post-secondary academic and student support environment
