Remote - Accounting Team Lead

World Business Lenders is seeking an Accounting Team Lead to lead a team of analysts and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and technical accounting expertise, with a background in accounting and experience in banking, real estate, or service-based businesses.

Requirements

• Contribute to month-end and year-end close accounting and financial reporting.
• Prepare/review journal entries, reconciliations, and General Ledger accuracy.
• Supervise accounting team members by assigning tasks, reviewing their work and providing guidance on complex issues.
• Apply technical accounting expertise to evaluate new transactions and determine appropriate accounting treatment in line with GAAP.
• Prepare financial reports and other special management reports.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.
• Identify process gaps and implement control improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Treasury, Ops, IT).
• Coordinate with auditors and manage audit deliverables.
