Crew Leader

Crew Leader position at Wright Tree Service responsible for supervising a line clearance crew, planning daily work, and ensuring safe work practices. Must have 3 years' experience in tree trimming or clearing crews and excellent leadership skills.

Requirements

• Supervises a line clearance crew
• Plans daily work for crew
• Enforces safe work practices
• Recognizes poisonous plants
• Obtains oral or written permission from property owners
• Repairs minor damages
• Maintains good customer and public relations
• Keeps accurate records
• Receives and interprets tree trimming, removal and chemical application orders
• Responsible for safety training of assigned personnel
• Considers inclement weather conditions
• Safeguards employees and public from hazards
• Trims and/or removes trees by climbing or working from the ground
• Uses appropriate tools
• Loads and unloads trucks
• Trains new employees on proper procedures
• Works around hazardous equipment and in close proximity to energized power lines
