WSP is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Transportation Planning for Nevada, based in the WSP Las Vegas office. This is a strategic leadership role as we continue to strengthen and grow our transportation planning practice locally, working with clients such as the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT), Clark County, RTC, and the cities of Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, and Henderson.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Transportation Planning, Urban Planning, Engineering, Geography, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience working in the transportation planning field, or equivalent experience in the A/E/C industry with a focus on infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience overseeing and managing multidisciplinary transportation projects of small, medium, and large-scale.
- Strongly established relevant client relationships and industry contacts in the local area.
- Experience with professional environmental services as a consultant or client, developing scopes of work, directing work, issuing or responding to RFP or RFQs.
- Well-developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills required to reach conclusions from testing results, data collation, and ability to identify effective solutions to accomplish project objectives.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, personal accountability, persistence, and growth.
- Ability to innovate and re-think the conventional approach to client and employee engagement.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
