CAD Technician/Designer – Rail

WSP is seeking a CAD Technician/Designer – Rail to create and edit drawings in compliance with WSP CAD Standards and detailing practices using Autodesk Civil 3D software. The role requires collaboration with a motivated and successful team in Australia and contribution to Mining Infrastructure projects.

Requirements

• Creation and editing of drawings in compliance with WSP CAD Standards and detailing practices
• Production of high-quality output using Autodesk Civil 3D software
• Preparation of drawings including conceptual sketches and detailed construction drawings
• Reviewing drawings to ensure compliance with Client drafting standards
• Material and Quantity take off and underground utility coordination
• Actively participate in the design and provide input to the design team throughout the design process
• Ensure that quality procedures are implemented and maintained
• Carry out audits of adherence to WSP Management and Quality processes and implement corrective measures where required
• Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns, to line manager
• Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies
• Develop expertise and stay up to date of developments in Drafting skills
• Support the company’s approach to sustainability
• Coordinate with a multi-disciplinary project team
• Be willing to learn and be polyvalent
• Identify improvements (where possible) to enhance WSP service to clients
