CAD Technician/Designer - Structures

WSP is seeking a CAD Technician/Designer - Structures to create and edit drawings in compliance with WSP CAD Standards and detailing practices, and produce high-quality output using Autodesk Advance steel software.

Requirements

• Creation and editing of drawings in compliance with WSP CAD Standards and detailing practices
• Producing high-quality output using Autodesk Advance steel software
• Preparing structural drawings for structures, including piling layouts and schedules, structural concrete drawings with rebar details, structural steel drawings, Fabrication drawings, and building architectural drawings
• Developing 3D models and extracting 2D drawings from 3D models
• Performing review of engineering drawings and verifying accuracy and correctness
• Communicating with internal peers and project team and answering questions regarding deliverables
• Preparing Material and Quantity take off
• Actively participating in the design and providing input to the design team throughout the design process
• Carrying out audits of adherence to WSP Management and Quality processes and implementing corrective measures where required
• Ensuring that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies
• Developing expertise and staying up to date of developments in Drafting skills
• Supporting the company’s approach to sustainability
• Coordinating with a multi-disciplinary project team
• Identifying improvements to enhance WSP service to clients
• Completing accurate timesheets by set deadline
