Job Description
We are seeking a CAD Technician - Roads UK to play a proactive part in the design process and to be active on several projects at any given time. The successful candidate will have experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and other engineering software, and will be able to read and interpret 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models.
Requirements
- Ability to utilise AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation and OpenRoads in adherence to defined CAD standards to develop layouts, labelling, dimensioning, sheet layout, design details and other appropriate design concepts.
- Checking of Draiange and Highway drawing deliverables
- Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models to assist with investigations of engineering problems.
- Proven ability to work up drawings (plans, sections & details) from Engineers basic sketches to full working drawings
- Ability to liaise with the design teams as necessary to coordinate design and drawing production.
