Electrical Engineer

WSP USA is seeking a highly energetic, self-motivated, and goal-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our Northeast Transportation and Infrastructure Engineering Team and work out of our New York, NY office.

Requirements

• Work within multi-discipline project teams to develop drawings and specification documents for issuance to architects, contractors, and building owners.
• Assist preparing electrical design for transportation-related facilities, including transit stations, tunnels, and underground structures, roadway and highway facilities, tunnel and station ventilation systems, traction power interfaces, utility power, and emergency power systems.
• Coordinate design activities with other multi-discipline project team members (mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, communications, structural, civil, architectural, and other disciplines)
• Perform Construction Phase Services, including reviewing RFI’s, shop drawings, submittals, field visits, and coordination with contractors.
• Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and technical workshops internally and externally with transportation agencies.
• Remain current in latest electrical engineering techniques and practices.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
