Job Description
The Opportunity: WSP has a new opportunity for a Contaminated Sites Project Manager to join our Remediation Program Management team based in Kingston, Toronto, London and Ottawa. This new opportunity will require you to manage risk and closure of contaminated sites. You will design and oversee field work related to monitoring, investigating, and remediating contaminated sites impacted by hydrocarbons (diesel, gasoline crude oil etc.) fertilizers and metals, as well as prepare technical reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (sciences and/or Engineering)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in contaminated site assessments
- Sound understanding of the need for health and safety procedures in the workplace/Possess a safety conscious attitude
- An analytical mind; someone who is able to make recommendations on the next steps for client sites
- Strong business acumen and financial management experience, developing, tracking and forecasting on annual budgets
- Previous experience with soil and ground water sampling and remediation
- Understanding of the Ontario Environmental regulations
- Professional designation is preferred
- Experience in the oil and gas sector will be an asset
