Join WSP as a Mechanical Designer and contribute to impactful, multidisciplinary projects that support safer, more efficient, and more sustainable mining, metals and industrial infrastructure systems. This role will play a key part in designing and optimizing the layout design of heavy industrial projects across the subsector.
Requirements
- College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent
- 8+ years experience in mechanical engineering design specifically with experience in layout design for heavy industrial and/or mining projects
- Strong understanding of mechanical equipment, and piping installation requirements in the field
- Must have consulting experience
- Proven experience with AVEVA E3D, Plant3D, Revit, Microstation, SolidEdge and SmartPlant
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- French language skills (written and verbal) an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a desire to perform design engineering
- Strong critical thinking skills and an ability to problem solve effectively
- Ability to work well in a team but also as an individual contributor
