Offshore Substation Structural Lead (Energy)

Join WSP and work on the world's most impactful projects. As an Offshore Substation Structural Lead, you will lead engineering and technical matters for offshore substations, driving WSP's offshore wind strategy and managing complex projects.

Requirements

• MEng in structural or civil engineering
• Chartered Engineer or demonstratable progress in working towards
• Significant experience in offshore substation topside and jacket / monopile support structures
• Track record in delivery of offshore substation projects across all phases from concept, through to FEED, detailed design, fabrication and installation
• Experience in supporting certification of offshore substations
• Experience in preparation of offshore substation CAPEX estimates
• Experience in developing key offshore substation technical documentation in support of main asset procurement such as Employer’s Requirements and Scope of Works
• Excellent knowledge of the offshore wind industry and project development
• Excellent knowledge of offshore substation industry standards
• Excellent knowledge of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 including a demonstratable understanding of health, safety and environmental best practice
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with strong leadership and management experience
• Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage own workload, meet timescales and coordinate both internal and external stakeholders
• An established network in the offshore wind industry
