WSP is seeking On-Call Emergency Managers – Safety to lead Emergency Management teams, provide services to clients preparing for, responding to, and recovering from disasters nationwide and in US territories, and ensure worksites are safe for workers and comply with applicable regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Emergency Management, Public Administration, or similar/related concentration, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5-7 years in a Safety or Emergency Management Leadership role (Response, Recovery or related), or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of cumulative safety experience, within the last 10 years, managing or implementing a SOH program on projects similar in industry type, size, and complexity as the project described in the contract scope of work.
- 24 hours of documented formal classroom or online SOH-related training within the past 5 years and must maintain competency by taking 8 hours every year for the duration of the contract.
- Broad knowledge of Safety and Emergency Management principles, methods and techniques.
- OSHA 30 Construction, General Industry or higher OSHA certification (DOL Wallet Card Required after 90 Days of Course Completion).
- Intermediate computer experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe and mobile applications.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
