WSP is seeking a Ports and Marine Engineer to join their team. The candidate will be involved in projects with the Ports and Maritime Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets client objectives and solves their challenges. The role will involve performing civil/structural design for marine and upland components, preparing technical written communications, and working in a team to ensure work product meets scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 3-5 years of relevant post-education experience
- Familiarity with marine, port, and civil/structural engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and the application to project work-related issues
- Analytical mindset with an ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives
- Basic proficiency with technical writing, relevant engineering software, spreadsheets, and other tools
- Experience with discipline-specific design software (i.e., AutoCAD, Revit)
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety, and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
