Senior Engineer - Offshore Cables

As an Offshore Cable Project / Mechanical Engineer, you will provide day-to-day expertise to the Offshore Cables Engineering team on offshore cable design, hardware design activities, and technical decisions. The role is client facing and requires effective communication skills. The role will support the Project Managers and Lead Offshore Engineer with project deliverables specific to the HVAC / HVDC Offshore Cable elements.

Requirements

• Conduct detailed design engineering for new projects
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure understanding of all customer/project requirements
• Support the Proposals, Purchasing, Project Management, Quality and Production teams
• Review of client specifications, vendor documentation
• Travel to client’s offices or site alongside potential vendor engagement
• Support junior members of the team with training, guidance and knowledge transfer
