We are looking for a Senior Rail Modelling and Simulation Specialist to lead end-to-end modelling and simulation assignments across rail operations, traction power, tunnel ventilation, pedestrian movement, and traffic scenarios, using industry-standard tools.
Requirements
- Engineering degree preferred
- 10+ years of experience in rail modelling, operational analysis, and systems engineering
- Deep hands-on expertise using OpenTrack, RailSys, RTC, and/or equivalent rail simulation platforms
- Strong understanding of rail operations, signaling principles, block design, and track layout fundamentals
- Advanced data handling skills with the ability to manipulate large datasets and automate workflows using Python or VBA
- Capability in timetable planning, service modeling, rolling stock and crew diagramming, and resource optimization
- Experience across diverse rail contexts including LRT, metro, commuter rail, tram, and mixed-traffic environments
- Familiarity with ETCS and CBTC technologies
- Exposure to macroscopic modelling tools (e.g., Viriato, RailPlan, Attune) and complementary modelling platforms (MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW) is an asset
