Material Handler

Role Overview

The Material Handler plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of materials and components. This position supports the production process by ensuring that all required materials are available, properly stored, and delivered to the appropriate departments in a timely manner.

What You Will Do

Safely load & unload materials from trucks, containers and delivery vehicles. Check incoming materials for quality, quantity, and compliance with purchase orders and specifications. Store materials and components in the designated areas, following safety, organizational, and accessibility guidelines.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in a material handling or warehouse role, ideally in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of safety practices in material handling, especially related to industrial and manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in a material handling or warehouse role, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of safety practices in material handling, especially related to industrial and manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of inventory control and shipping/receiving processes.
• Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Forklift/Reach truck license is mandatory.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and move materials of varying weights and sizes.
• Experience on ERP systems (SAP) is advantageous.
