Job Description
The Yakima County Sheriff's Department is seeking an Exceptional Entry Level Deputy Sheriff. The position involves protecting life and property, suppressing crime, enforcing laws and ordinances, preserving peace, and directing traffic. Weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts are required.
Requirements
- Certified by the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission as a qualified law enforcement officer
- Less than two years of police experience
- Meets all other minimum qualifications required of entry level applicants
