We are seeking a Special Education Dyslexia Teacher to provide targeted and high-impact reading instruction for students with dyslexia. The teacher will manage a caseload of students with dyslexia, participate in ARD meetings, and collaborate with Reading Language Arts teachers to support student growth. The teacher will also be responsible for building transformative relationships with students and families, creating a physical environment conducive to learning, and completing compliance tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university recognized by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB)
- Texas Educator Certification in SpEd Specialist/Special Education or willing to join ACP to get certified in first year
- Completion of Reading Academy and Science of Teaching Reading Certification or willingness to complete these requirements
- Texas Dyslexia Academy or other dyslexia teacher certification program, or willingness to complete in the first year in the role
- Certified to deliver Reading by Design or willingness to be trained to deliver within the first semester in the role
- Strong ability to navigate web-related applications and technology
- Ability to instruct students using a variety of technology applications and platforms
