Job Description
The YMCA is seeking passionate individuals to provide after school and before school care in Portland Public Schools. This part-time position involves supervising aides and volunteers, creating a developmentally appropriate environment, and implementing an engaging curriculum. The YMCA offers a range of positions, from full-time to part-time, with a focus on creating a positive social-emotional experience for students.
Requirements
- Pass a YMCA Background Check
- At least 240 hours of qualifying experience working with school age children in the past five years
- At least 18 years of age
- Current enrollment in the Oregon State Childcare Registry or ability to enroll prior to employment
- Current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Current Food Handlers certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
