Job Description
The YMCA is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to provide social-emotional support for children in after-school care before and after school. This part-time position (2:00 PM - 6:00 PM) at Portland Public Schools involves assisting teachers in creating a safe and engaging learning environment, implementing curriculum, and fostering positive relationships with children and the school community. Flexibility in scheduling and potential travel outside of Portland are offered.
Requirements
- Pass a YMCA Background Check
- Current enrollment in the Oregon State Childcare Registry or ability to enroll prior to employment
- Current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Current Food Handlers certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- At least 14 years of age
- Salary: Starting at $17.00 hr.
