Job Description
The group exercise instructor at the YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City is responsible for leading group exercise classes and fostering a positive community experience. This role requires physical fitness, class instruction, and communication skills. The instructor must maintain certifications and adhere to safety standards.
Requirements
- Must be certified in PR/CPR, AED, O2, and First Aid.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school education or equivalent preferred.
- 6 months or 60 hours of practical experience of group exercise class experience.
- Ability to lift in excess of ten pounds.
- Certification in group exercise instruction from a recognized organization (e.g., ACE, AFAA, NASM).
- Strong knowledge of exercise techniques and principles.
