Director, Day Camps & Outdoor Education

The YMCA of Northeastern Ontario is seeking a Director, Day Camps & Outdoor Education to oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of Outdoor Education and Day Camp programs in the Sudbury and West Day Camp region. The role involves program supervision and development, quality assurance, special events, scheduling, human resource management, meeting financial targets, and staff and volunteer development according to YMCA policies, procedures, and standards.

Requirements

• College diploma or University degree in Outdoor Recreation, Business, or equivalent related field
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a senior camp or supervisory position
• Solid knowledge of day camp and outdoor education rules, regulations, and operations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Valid G class driver's license
• Safe Food Handlers' certificate
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR C
• National Lifeguard Certification (NLS) in good standing an asset
• Current and satisfactory Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
