Job Description
The YMCA of Northeastern Ontario is seeking a Program Manager to oversee all programming at John Island Camp. The successful candidate will develop and implement camp schedules and staffing plans, supervise program team leads, and ensure a high-quality, safe, and engaging camp experience for all campers.
Requirements
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) is an asset
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR C certification
- Valid Pleasure Craft Operator Licence
- Supervisory experience managing high-quality overnight camp programs
- Knowledge of CQRP and OCA programs
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills; French language skills are an asset
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Current and satisfactory Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Experience conducting performance management with direct reports
- National Lifeguard Service (NLS), Ropes Course Instructor Level 2, and Wilderness Advanced First Aid certifications are assets
- Minimum one year's experience in a senior camp or outdoor centre role
- Minimum three to four years' experience working at summer camps or outdoor centres
