Job Description
The Group Exercise Instructor will lead safe and effective group exercise classes, ensuring a positive and physically appropriate experience for participants. The role involves classroom management, maintaining a safe environment, and utilizing YMCA resources. This position requires a self-starter with strong communication skills and a commitment to safety.
Requirements
- Successfully complete State of Florida Criminal History Background Check
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- CPR/First Aid/AED Certifications required
- Appropriate fitness certification
- Completion of YMCA’s Blood Borne Pathogens training annually
- Completion of YMCA’s Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Class annually
- One year or more of experience in fitness
- Team assignment in Annual Partner with Youth campaign
- Commitment to safety and cleanliness
