Job Description
Young Horizons Child Development Centers is seeking a Substitute Teacher to provide high-quality childcare and preschool programs in Long Beach. The role focuses on a nurturing and stimulating environment where children are developmentally appropriate, and curriculum implementation and parental involvement are key. The position is on-call and part-time.
Requirements
- Current and valid Associate Teacher Permit or higher
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 12 units of Early Childhood Education (3 in Child Development, 3 in Child, Family and Community, 6 in ECE Curriculum)
- Minimum of one year of experience working with children ages 6 months through 5 years
- Proof of health and immunization clearance (MMR, Tdap, TB, Flu shot or waiver)
- Livescan Background Check
- Child Abuse Index Check
- Pediatric CPR/First Aid
- Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)
