Network Engineer III - Optical (WaaS)

Responsible for designing, link engineering, and implementing capacity onto the existing DWDM network, with a focus on supporting Zayo's Waves as a Service (WAAS) initiative. Requires 5+ years of telecommunications and/or data networking experience, including optical link engineering experience and working knowledge of Infinera, Ciena, Nokia DWDM platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent education, training and/or experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years telecommunications and/or data networking experience.
• Optical Link Engineering experience and working knowledge of Infinera, Ciena, Nokia DWDM platforms are REQUIRED,
• Metasolv/M6 database experience is REQUIRED.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of optical systems and signal flow designs through fixed or flex grid networks using ROADM technology.
• Experience using Microsoft Office or Google programs and project management software.
