Patent Counsel (m/w/x)

As a Patent Counsel, you will advise the Department for Microscopy on comprehensive intellectual property rights, patent strategies, and ensure the legally secure setup, defense, and enforcement of the IP portfolio in national and international contexts.

Requirements

• Patent legal advice taking into account existing competitor rights, as well as the development of circumvention and defense solutions.
• Building and maintaining national and international IP portfolios, including leading filing and grant procedures.
• Analysis of the development of laws and case law in patent, utility model, design, and inventor employment law and deriving practical recommendations.
• Analysis of foreign IP rights to avoid infringement risks and developing creative circumvention strategies with our respective technical experts.
• Responsibility for appeal, nullity, and enforcement proceedings before national and international instances, particularly through the management of external law firms.
• Training of internal teams, especially developers, and external partners.
