Financial Controller (m/f/d)

ZOE Institute is seeking a Financial Controller to lead on finances, project financial reporting, and the transition to a new ERP system. The role involves supporting the team, coordinating across teams, and mentoring colleagues. The ideal candidate has a background in finance, business management, or accounting, with 5+ years of experience in finance/operations and project reporting. Knowledge of German HGB and IFRS is required, as well as experience with contracts, procurement, or tender processes.

Requirements

• Background in finance, business management, accounting or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in finance/operations and in leading projects or teams
• Experience in non-profit organisations and financial project reporting
• Knowledge of German HGB (Handelsgesetzbuch) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)
• Experience with contracts, procurement, or tender processes, especially Horizon Europe, or knowledge of other EU funding programmes is an asset
